Bachman’s Fall Idea House is officially open! How many of you momma’s have taken up the opportunity to check out this home to get seasonal inspiration? If not, you’re going to want to round your girlfriends up and make a date day out of it!
The Bachman’s Fall Ideas House is a great place for ideas to inspire your beautiful home. I had the pleasure of touring this home this past week and it has so much to offer for design inspiration, from decorating to party planning. They have the best fall home decor ideas, from Halloween and Thanksgiving party planning to interior design trends, this home is a great source of inspiration.
For those of you that aren’t sure what this is all about…
Bachman’s is a family owned home and garden business right here in our Twin Cities. Three times a year, they transform this home and showcase new products and trends. The coolest part about all of this is that this home is the original family home, built in the 1920’s. Being a visual merchandiser, I admire so much about the work that the team puts into this home each season. From the merchandisers to floral designers and the maintenance team, I know this is no easy task. And for how beautiful the home continues to be, I know they hire the best of the best designers in town. What I especially love is that they’ve never touched the actual structure of the home. It’s so neat to see and think about that they’ve salvaged all the items in the home such as the sink, flooring, countertops that once was a family home and now a tourist destination. This leaves so much character in place and lets your imagination dream of what it must have been like to live within this gorgeous home while running a booming business.
The Bachman’s Lyndale location is right next to the home, where you buy your tickets. When you walk in the door, you take a left and there is a gift counter for you to grab your $5 ticket. Only 20-25 people are allowed in the home at one time, so time slots for this popular outing fill up fast. Think ahead and get a girls’ day on the calendar and grab your tickets today for later this fall. Best of all 20% of all ticket sales go to the Minnesota State Fair Foundation.
The Fall Ideas House is open seven days a week, September 8 through October 2, 2016. Self-guided tours ($5) are sold in 30-minute increments during the following times:
Monday-Wednesday 9:30 am-3 pm
Thursday & Friday 9:30 am-6 pm
Saturday 9:30 am-4 pm
Sunday 10:30 am-4 pm
Check out the inspiration that you’ll find this season…
How cute are these table settings when entertaining?
Thinking about decorating your ceiling is something that never crosses my mind. I thought this was such a unique piece and something that would be super fun to make out of vintage finds!
My aunt once told me: our winters are longer than our summers so why wouldn’t we decorate our flower planters with the winter seasons? How true is that?! Since that day, I’ve always done seasonal planting to transition my containers into the spring. Bachman’s Ideas House isn’t just indoor decor. They do a great job of landscaping and showcasing great ideas for those flower planters through winter months. This is only a glimpse of the beautiful backyard…
They have an adorable shed out back that is stuffed full with the best halloween decorating ideas. I couldn’t get enough of this beautiful table display. Halloween is definitely one of my favorite holiday’s to host, so I did not leave the store that day empty handed!
It’s not just holiday ideas, but the decor. I could not get enough of this office. from the wallpaper to the furniture to the decor. I’m obsessed with the multiple clocks on one wall trend, I just haven’t been daring enough to do in my own home yet. After touring this home, I’m thinking the office is the perfect place to take the jump and replicate this look.
Layering is also huge right now in design trends. They showcased so much layering throughout the home with different textiles and patterns.
Such as this design – what a great idea for a headboard! Vertical boards or fabric with a horizontal picture overlay…gorgeous!!
Such a fun afternoon! Hope you are as inspired as I was from this sneak peak. Make sure to round up those momma’s or girlfriends of yours and go check out the Fall Ideas House. It’s the perfect fall outing!
