Spring Break is here – and we want to help you make the most of it with your kids! Whether your break is in March or April, we have a guide full of activities that you and your family can enjoy. Here are a few fun things to do around the Twin Cities!
Head to the Minnesota Zoo for the opening of the Farm Babies exhibit, opening March 24th and running through April 30th. Your kids can see and pet baby pigs, goats, chicks and more in addition to enjoying daily activities put on by the zoo. Children under 2 get in free, ages 3-12 $12, ages 13-64 $18. Open 9:00am-4:00pm daily.
The Science Museum OmniFest is on through May 4th! Travel around the world and see everything from glaciers in the Arctic to Mount Everest and the spectacular views of the Nile. There is something for all ages to enjoy! While you’re there, take your sports lover to Sportsology – in this brand new addition to the exhibit galleries, every field, court, track, and gym become a science lab! By studying the body in motion, you’ll gain a better understanding of exactly what it takes to make that basket, swing that racket, or score that goal. Cost for admission + Omnitheater is $24.95 for adults, $18.95 for kids 4 and up.
Make a trip to Can Can Wonderland – the Twin Cities coolest mini golf experience! Can Can Wonderland combines art and play to create a one-of-a-kind arts immersive environment for people of all ages to enjoy.

Dance your heart out at Zumba Jr. for Toddler Tuesday at Mall of America on Tuesday, March 28th in the Rotunda! Let your kiddos groove to the music and bust a move! There are two classes: either 10am or 11am. Best part: it’s FREE!
Spend a night at Rock n’ Ride at Nickelodeon Universe! Grab a Twilight Ride Wristband for $27.99 from 5 – 9:30pm on Friday, March 31st. They have a DJ from 8 – 9:30pm, so the kids can dance the night away! Don’t forget to strike a rock star pose on the Nickelodeon® orange carpet!
See a show at the Children’s Theatre! Dr. Seuss’ The Sneetches runs until March 26th. Then, A Year With Frog & Toad begins on April 18th. Tickets start at just $15! See website for showtimes and availability.
Catch a free movie at the Paragon Burnsville Theater! Offered each day from March 27th – March 31st at 10:00am. The movie lineup includes: Bee Movie, Ice Age: Collision Course, How to Train Your Dragon, Home Alone, and Horton Hears a Who! This is a great activity at NO cost that all ages can enjoy!
Bounce around at Rockin’ Jump in Eagan! This trampoline park offers many fun events for people of all ages including tot time, blacklight jumping, dance parties, and more! They also have rock climbing, an arcade, kids play area, and several other attractions. Check out their website for details!

Try your hand at Wood Stamp Making & Printing at the American Swedish Institute with your big kids. This is designed for creative kids ages 7 and up. You will make stamps with trinkets, tools, and wood and then print your designs on a cotton pillow case! March 26th from 1-3pm, $20 for ASI members or $25 for non-members.
Three Rivers Park District offers Free Family Fun Days each Sunday at various parks across the Twin Cities. Find one near you here! Explore the outdoors with your little ones while they learn about nature – no cost required.
Check out History Hound Hijinx at the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul! Spring is in the air, so it’s a great time to learn about Minnesota weather. Explore the Weather Permitting exhibit including the “get to the basement” tornado simulation, make a sun catcher to take home, test your knowledge of Minnesota’s weather in a live game show and join a “thunderstorm” parade. Wednesday, March 29th from 10:00am – 2:00pm, admission is $12 adults, $10 seniors, veterans/active military and college students, $6 ages 5-17, free age 4 and under and MNHS members.
Make a family trip to the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis for Target Free Thursday Nights! Gallery admission is FREE from 5 to 9pm every Thursday night.
