Mommy Superheros: Teaching Responsibility with Popsicle Sticks

Popsicles are a super fun summer treat, but if you play your cards right, you can use them to put your kids to work!  After your kids have gone through a box or two, use them to create some responsibility ideas and rewards for chores.  A super easy project that you can do that will motivate your kiddos to help out and learn responsibility.

I used the sticks for two separate “flower pots.”  The first pot is for fun summer activities on a “no plans” day and the second for chores – because, well, anything to lighten the load. 😉

I wrote with a Sharpie on one end of the stick.  Then, I used self adhesive leaves and flowers to stick on the other ends and made flowers out of them.  Done!

I used ground coffee for the “dirt” at the bottom of the glass.

They were super fun to do and my Georgia is nuts about them…like begging to chose chore after chore…winning!

I love this idea!! At least the “no plans” planter for nownsincr my daughter is 23months. I’ll save the chores one for later! And she just discovered Popsicles so it won’t be hard to make!!! 😉

LOVE these ideas! I’ve used popsicles for “fun stuff” but never for chores. I think my kiddos would really like this.
