TCMB Community Groups

Our primary goal in creating Twin Cities Moms Blog was to connect moms online, as well as offline through playdates and our events.  We know that being a parent is the most rewarding job we can do, but it’s also the hardest. We all need some support now and then from others who know just what we are going through! We’ve loved doing this through our larger events, but this year we are also looking to incorporate some more intimate ways for moms to connect with one another.

We’ve loved watching our Neighborhood Groups explode with Moms eager to connect offline as well as online. We’ve had many requests for groups to be created that are more of a “category” feel, to connect Moms, and yes, Dads too!, based on things they have in common, rather than location. You’ve asked, we’re answering!  Check out our newest Community Facebook Groups below!

Is there a way for someone who is not on Facebook to join one of the neighborhood or other groups?

Hi Liz! We’re looking into adding a Meet-Up group. It wouldn’t be the same as these, as we have them on Facebook for easy discussion and updates, etc., but it would list all events from all of our groups, so there would at least be the ability to join in on the community building aspect of it. Unfortunately, at this time, the groups are solely on Facebook. We do realize that not everyone is on Facebook, however, its the easiest platform for us to manage them and to facilitate and encourage discussion. I’ll comment here again when we get that MeetUp group up and running!

Hey Cassandra! SAHM stands for Stay At Home Moms and WAHMS/WFHM stands for Work At/From Home Moms.
