Celebrate the Minnesota Zoo’s 40th Anniversary!

Our partners at the Minnesota Zoo are celebrating a HUGE milestone this year - and they want to invite you and your family to take part in their celebration! Read on to find out all the events taking place surrounding their 40th Anniversary!

What a great way to kick off the Spring season by joining our partners at the Minnesota Zoo for their 40th Anniversary Celebration! You and your family can experience all the fun the Zoo has to offer in celebration of this exciting milestone – both on-site and off-site – all year long… starting this month!


Here are some events you will want to put on your calendar that your kids are sure to enjoy in MAY: 

  • Community Celebrations {Off-Site}:
    • Saturday, May 5th – 11:00am-1:00pm – Apache Mall, Rochester, MN
    • Saturday, May 12th – 11:00am-1:00pm – Crossroads Center, St. Cloud, MN
      • At these celebrations, your children will get to experience:
        • The ZooMobile
        • Kemps Ice Cream giveaways with 1 free child ticket to the Zoo
        • Signing the birthday card or banner
  • 40th Anniversary Celebration {On-Site}:
    • Saturday, May 19th AND Sunday, May 20th at the Minnesota Zoo you can enjoy:
      • Birthday treats and Kemps milk at Crossroads Park daily at 10:00 am (while supplies last)
      • Crayola® Activity on Tropics Plaza daily from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
      • Twin Cities RoadCrew: Music, games, photo opportunity and Zoo trivia
      • Moose headband with birthday logo (while supplies last)
      • Birthday-themed animal enrichment throughout the Zoo
        • Saturday, May 19th: Brown Bear – 9:30 am, Sea Otter – 11:00 am, Penguin – 2:30pm
        • Sunday, May 20th: Tiger Lair – 9:30am, Sea Otter – 11:00am
