As if we needed more reasons to love Target, they’re once again helping us recycle our car seats. I’ve stood in my garage, looking down at expired car seats before, knowing I’m supposed to get rid of them, but feeling like it’s such a waste.
In honor of Earth Month, Target is partnering with Waste Management and bringing back the popular car seat trade-in event at Target stores across the country. Here is an opportunity to give all that plastic new life as Waste Management helps recycle it for things such as, ‘ grocery carts, plastic buckets and construction materials.’
Here is what ya need to know:
Starting Sunday, April 22nd (through Saturday, May 5th) bring in your expired or no longer used car seats to participating Target locations.
In exchange, you’ll receive a coupon for 20% off towards any car seat in stores or at Target.com. All brands will be accepted for recycling and the coupon you receive can be used on a new car seat, booster seat, bases or full travel systems. The donation box can be found at Guest Services at the front of the store.
If you are interested in trading in a car seat to utilize this deal, you will have until Saturday, May 19th to make your purchase.
Be sure to check the weekly ad for price cuts, sales featured in that week’s ad AND Target’s Cartwheel for even more savings to get you an even bigger discount!
